Home School Liaison Officer (HSLO) - Donnalene Jones

Home school liaison officers work collaboratively with schools to monitor and support student attendance.

HSLOs liaise with principals and executive staff on non-attendance issues and collaborate with relevant parties in the development of student attendance improvement plans consistent with timeframes for non-attendance and students not enrolled in an educational setting.

Student Support Officer (SSO) - Yvette Latu

SSOs contribute to the implementation of the whole-of school approach to wellbeing with a focus on early intervention.

They work closely with the school counselling service and other wellbeing supports to assist students to develop social and emotional skills through strengths-based program and strategies that build resilience, coping skills and positive relationships.

SSOs also have a pivotal role in working collaboratively with external and other government agencies in their support of students and their families.

Wellbeing & Health In-reach Nurse (WHIN) – Carol Lancaster

Wellbeing nurses are employed by NSW Health and co-located in public schools. WHINs work closely with school wellbeing and learning and support teams.

They also work closely with local health and social services to support students and their families on a wide range of health and wellbeing issues.

Issues may include mental health, social and behavioural support, physical health, and peer or family relationships.
